Museum of Underwater Antiquities at the Piraeus waterfront (Participation) 2012

Participation in international architectural competition 2012. The main idea of the proposal is the organising of the vast area of the port into zones of different spatial qualities (eg. soft or tough, planted or water surfaces) so that they may commonly contribute to a general open public space that penetrates the Museum interior. The renovation is configured by a spatial square-grid system that follows the pre-existing building structure, one that is also a reference to the grid urban tissue of Piraeus.
