The project comprises a redesign of an existing modernistic building into a museum and open public spaces near the adjacent archaeological site along the Piraeus Cultural Coast.  The design concept is composed of the restoration of the natural slope of the ground and form a higher level, from south to north, allowing for this new topogaphy to configure public spaces, pedestrian and soft traffic flows. These promenades form an L-shape that encloses the museum and concludes at the entrance to the archaeological site. There is also plateaus that can be reached by walking. The focal point of the proposed urban landscape is an extensive, elevated patio with a view of the archaeological site and the Piraeus Port. The role of this “stone prow” is symbolic, as it attempts to emphasise the museum entrance. The museum is landmarked by its steel roof inclining over new and existing structures that create an interior of multilevel arrangements of different functions and spaces.
